To be honest, it may cost you a little more than $23 000 000 depending on the availability of models and just where in the world you’re based - taxes can be brutal. Back in the day we only had supercars, but these days there’s the addition of a different class of car - the hypercar, and as expected, the cars that populate the list of the world’s ten most expensive current production cars all fall into this category. While there are plenty of automakers around the world that have a supercar or hypercar on the books, in the hypercar class we often see cars from smaller bespoke companies who only concentrate on one segment or cars. You’re not going to find a budget hatchback by Koenigsegg any time soon.
The the top ten list of the most expensive production cars we see models from four of the automakers you’d expect to see on a list like this; Koenigsegg, Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Pagani, but purpose-built models are also seen from the likes of SSC North America, Fenyr, Zenvo and Hennessey. The latter being based on a Lotus of all things. It’s an amazing list fit for the likes of Manny Khoshbin or Jay Leno or someone that owns a few oil fields in the UAE.

Fenyr Super Sport - The Lebanese Fenyr Super Sport is a limited production supercar that is the successor to the controversial Lykan Hypersport - $1 600 000
Hennessey Venom F5 - The Hennessey Venom F5 is an American hypercar based on a UK sports car that now has a claimed top speed of 301mph (484kph) - $1 700 000
Zenvo TS1 GT - The Zenvo TS1 GT is a Danish limited-production run hypercar by automotive manufacturing company Zenvo - $1 900 000
Koenigsegg Regera - The Regera one of a few offerings from Swedish hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg - $2 100 000
Koenigsegg Jesko - When you have two cars in a top 10 most expensive list, you;re doing it right. The Jesko sells for $3 000 000
Aston Martin Valkyrie - The most amazing British hypercar from Aston Martin, the Valkyrie sells for $3 200 000
Bugatti Chiron Sport - The successor to the legendary Veyron looks similar, but is very, very different. The Chiron Sport sells for $3 400 000
Pagani Huayra Roadster BC - One of the best uses of carbon fibre ever - the super slick Huayra Roadster BC sells for $3 500 000
Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 - Lamborghini knows their market well with just about every top YouTuber having one in the garage. The Sian is a plug-in hybrid for the uber-wealthy though, and sports a retail price of $3 600 000
