VIDEO: PORSCHE 911 GT2 RS VS. LAMBORGHINI HURACAN
All of the self-respecting supercar manufacturers must have at least one hardcore version of its best-seller nowadays. Even though you are spoiled for choice with Porsche, the GT2 RS is without question the best 911 money can buy, while Lamborghini launched its Huracan Performance last summer.
You do not need to be a genius to figure out that these two are obvious rivals, but how can you determine which is the best? Well... Why not take both out to the track and time the laps!
SportAuto chose Hockenheim as their venue, but before checking out the video let's talk numbers...
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS features 690 horsepower and 750Nm of torque from a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six, needs 2.9 seconds for the 0-100km/h acceleration, and maxes out at 340km/h. The Huracan Performance, on the other hand, is powered by a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10. It might lack turbochargers, but it puts out a respectable 631 horsepower and 600Nm of torque nevertheless, which allows it to sprint to 100km/h in 2.9sec and reach a top speed in excess of 325km/h.
The two supercars are quite evenly matched and, even with the Porsche having a power advantage and can boast about being the fastest RWD production car at Nurburgring, the most extreme version of the Huracan is no pushover... as you can see in the video that follows.
