BRABUS GOES ELECTRIC WITH A MAKEOVER FOR THE MERCEDES-AMG EQS 53

Brabus, a name synonymous with Mercedes-Benz, is renowned worldwide for its ability to transform its luxury cars into high-performance beasts, while still having manners. The company has been in existence for over 45 years now, which is a testament to its popularity among car enthusiasts the world over. Although some newer Mercedes models with Brabus branding may only receive cosmetic upgrades, others benefit from the addition of Brabus engines and components, resulting in a decent performance boost. Throughout the years, Brabus has collaborated with Mercedes on numerous exciting projects, with AMGmeister recently compiling a list of his top five favourites - Google it. Brabus is known for cramming larger-than-life engines into smaller cars, but the company also upgrades other critical components to ensure the vehicle's reliability, a crucial factor given that Brabus's clientele is often wealthy and exclusive and you can’t afford to do them wrong. These customers typically purchase the upper echelon of luxury vehicles, and Brabus delivers the power and performance to meet their expectations. Now with the German brand moving to electric powerplants, the aftermarket performance company has kept up and has a solution for the greener clientele.

What’s described as a bespoke luxury limousine, the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 is a modern embodiment of next-generation driving, and with fettling by BRABUS and its 1-Second-Wow BRABUS individuality in even the smallest of its meticulous details. When the company creates a package like this, the result is a masterpiece of contemporary design yet not straying too far from the original clean lines of the car. As the company says: “Designed for those who appreciate the BRABUS design DNA, it is the perfect symbiosis of extraordinary elegance and high-end materials as well as an invitation to define the Zeitgeist of the future”. With fully electrified vehicles are becoming more and more popular, the well-known tuner had to adapt to be able to offer its services to electric vehicle owners and that had to include a bump in power instead of just aesthetics. In stock form the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 produces 484 kW with 950 Nm of torque, but after the BRABUS treatment that rises to 560 kW with 1 020 Nm of torque. This can shunt the sedan to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds now. Aesthetics include carbon fibre front fascia inserts, front spoiler, rear and side air deflectors, rear diffuser, rear spoiler and all standard chrome parts of the exterior are changed to black. A set of 22-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z "Platinum Edition" forged wheels in Signature Black fill the corners and the arches are brought closer to the tyres thanks to a BRABUS SportXtra suspension module. We like it, a lot!

Take a look at the YouTube video showing off why the German aftermarket outfit BRABUS is rated among the world's best at what they do.
