CITROëN'S ULTRA-FUNKY MY AMI BUGGY II IS A MINUSCULE LIMITED EDITION CAR WE WANT.

In 2022, Citroën has a successful online sale of 50 “My Ami Buggy Ultra-Limited Series” cars in France, and now the French automaker offers up a new special edition with a 1 000-unit run that will be available in ten countries including the French overseas departments, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Morocco and Turkey. Dubben the Citroën “My Ami Buggy II”, looks set to be another success based on the reveal images alone - no doors or roof and a cool Khaki body colour accented with acid yellow bits along with a cool array of decorative elements give it a unique adventurous character. Those wheel arches, front and rear bumpers and the distinctive golden wheel covers make this the coolest little car ever. This version is fitted with additional exclusive accessories like transparent door covers to protect occupants, and a removable zipper bag positioned in the centre of the steering wheel to store small objects. A new roof closure system has been created to use it more easily - a black waterproof canopy that now has a zip, so it is more practical and easier to handle. Fully integrated into the design thanks to a roof cover that can be stretched considerably, so its less subject to air vibration when driving. It can be rolled up and attached to the rear of the vehicle with snap buttons. At the front, the roof frame is extended to form a sun visor, and it looks just right.

The instrument unit positioned on the steering column housing features a new arched cap for a retro feel, and there’s a smart complementary storage system derived from the original concept car. This version of the “My Ami Buggy” features an element of the acid yellow luggage line unveiled in December 2021 on the concept vehicle of the same name. A unique and ingenious decorative item, the mobile bag fits into the hollowed-out shape in the centre of the steering wheel. It is held in place by clip-on rucksack straps that wrap around the two arches. The additional zippered storage compartment can be used to store personal belongings and can be carried by the driver when they leave the cabin. An Ami speaker and new accessories top off the range of equipment in this limited edition “My Ami Buggy”. The “Ultimate Ears Boom” is a lightweight Bluetooth speaker that can be taken anywhere and has an immersive 360° sound while being waterproof and sturdy with a 15-hour battery life and it gets held in place with a special housing on the dashboard, just next to the steering, Since its launch in April 2020, Citroën Ami has been a hit on the micro-mobility market, partly because it takes just four hours to charge from a normal s 220V socket. The single electric motor generates a mere 8 hp and gives the wee car a top speed of a face-melting 48 km/h. This limited edition “My Ami Buggy” will go on sale on June 20th at a price of €10,490 including VAT.

Take a look at the YouTube video from when the strange but ridiculously cool My Ami Buggy was first shown off by French automaker Citroën. This has to be one of the coolest-looking people movers ever even if it can fit on the back of a pickup truck with space to spare. We're still not sure of how we'd used one, possibly as a cool golf cart or to get around at massive motoring events - and even as a daily driver if the motor was better: Citroën My Ami Buggy Concept, ready for adventure | Citroën
