DMC DELOREAN ELECTRIC CONVERSION BUILD

Check out this insane build of a fully-electric converted DMC DeLorean which brings it right back to the future!

Although this DeLorean won't necessarily be able to send you back and forth in time, it will get you from 0 – 60mph in less than five seconds, which is technically kinda the same thing!

Custom electric car hobbyists, Jacob Graham and Jim Belosic, have been making home-built electric cars for some time already, but recently came to realise that the ultimate electric car project is without a doubt a DMC-12 DeLorean. Straight out of the factory, the DMC-12 DeLorean pushes out a rather sad 130hp, so they decided to pump up the numbers by taking an electric motor out of a Nissan Leaf, and then giving it a few tweaks before replacing the OEM engine out of the DeLorean with the Japanese electric motor!

The electric motor now pushes the DeLorean up to over 200hp and, even better, you don't need plutonium to run it!

Take a look at the video below by YouTube channel, Electric Future, on this DMC DeLorean Electric Conversion Behind The Build.
