JAGUAR'S NEW AD CAMPAIGN MISSES THE MARK - INTERNET RESPONDS.

So that Jaguar advert… The automotive world, and anyone who knows someone into cars, watched the latest teaser advert that was released to show the iconic British automaker’s rebranding strategy and the initial reactions are pretty much the same across the board - W the actual F? If by some weird chance you haven’t seen the advert, it features a strange colour pallet, odd characters in strange outfits more suited to an haute couture fashion show, weird scenery and absolutely nothing to do with Jaguar cars. Of course fans of the brand were the most confused, and the campaign’s woke vibes seem to have done the opposite of the intention and have even prompted some Jaguar owners to sell their cars because they don’t want to be linked to the weirdness. There’s that saying: go woke, go broke - and in this day and age where woke is meant to be a good thing, it was not for Jaguar. There’s been a worldwide backlash, some saying that things are so bad that it may even become a case study of what not to do for marketing students. There is one positive though, well not for Jaguar, but for content creators and those with a sense of humour. Much to the dismay of Jaguar Managing Director, Rawdon Glover, the backlash has resulted in a host of parodies and reworks of the advert. Some show how the advert should have been, and some just take the Mickey. Here are some of the tweaked ads we’ve been seeing pop up on your YouTube feed. Gotta love how AI makes this so easy now. If you’ve seen one that we haven’t found, add a link in the comments - for science. The original advert will be at the bottom of the list, in case you haven't laughed at it yet, I mean seen it yet...
