PORSCHE LAUNCHES A RANGE OF EBIKES

The German sportscar maker, Porsche, launches a new range of eBikes.

eBikes are nothing new, they have been around for quite some time already, and are especially popular in European countries as an alternative means of transportation.

eBikes are a bicycle that has an electric motor that takes a large percentage of the workload off of the riders input.

Porsche has developed two versions of the eBike. One is called the Porsche eBike Cross for off-road and mountain biking, and the Porsche eBike Sport for on-road usage.

Both of the Porsche eBikes will be powered by a Shimano EP8 motor. It delivers an impressive 85 Nm of torque and only weighs 2.6 kg.

Both eBikes will feature an ultra-lightweight frame, made from carbon fibre, and will also feature full front and rear suspension.

Although these Porsche eBikes will be sold as a product on their own, we're pretty sure they will be offered as an optional extra on some Porsche car model such as the Cayenne.
