THE ALL-NEW MERCEDES-AMG G 63: OFF-ROAD ICON, REBORN WITH ELECTRIFIED FURY

The king of performance off-roaders has returned - and it’s louder, smarter, faster, and meaner than ever. Meet the all-new Mercedes-AMG G 63, a machine that doesn’t just wear its legacy - it weaponises it. With a sharper design, next-gen tech, and a newly electrified heart, the G 63 is still the go-anywhere, intimidate-everything statement piece… but now, it’s a lot more clever about it. Under the squared-off bonnet beats a thunderous AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo, developing a meaty 430 kW and a tyre-twisting 850 Nm of torque. But here’s the twist - it's now paired with 48-volt mild-hybrid tech and an Integrated Starter-Generator (ISG). That adds a short burst of 15 kW and 200 Nm, shaving milliseconds off the throttle response and adding a hint of electrified finesse to the brute force. Floor it, and the G 63 obliterates the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.4 seconds, surging on to 220 km/h - or an even more unhinged 240 km/h with the optional AMG Performance Package. This is a house-sized SUV that moves like a supercar and rumbles like a thunderstorm. This beast isn’t just about speed - it’s smart, too. The AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension system throws out traditional torsion bars and replaces them with active hydraulic roll stabilisation and adaptive adjustable damping. Each damper has two hydraulic connections - one for compression and one for rebound - allowing each corner to think for itself. The result? Less roll, more grip, and the kind of ride quality that defies logic for something this tall and this angry. Whether you’re in Comfort, Sport, or full-on Sport+, the G 63 adapts in real time, using a cocktail of sensors to keep you planted and grinning.

The AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission is as versatile as the G-Class itself. Whether you're cruising Sandton in chill mode or charging up a mountain trail, it delivers silky shifts or rapid-fire downshifts, depending on your mood. The AMG DYNAMIC SELECT system allows you to tailor throttle response, shift points, and suspension feel with the flick of a switch. Still a brick, but sharpened - from any angle, this is still unmistakably a G - but now with even more attitude. A new AMG-specific front bumper features vertical louvres over the air intakes and stainless-steel detailing, while the MANUFAKTUR hyper blue magno paint option gives this slab-sided legend a truly bespoke touch. Standard-fit Adaptive MULTIBEAM LED headlights react in real time to road and traffic conditions, while LED taillights give the rear a modern signature without compromising the classic G silhouette. Inside, it's all about contrast - brutal power meets luxury detailing. The standard AMG Performance steering wheel, wrapped in fine nappa leather, is borrowed straight from motorsport, complete with intuitive AMG drive mode buttons and integrated touch controls. The cabin is peppered with AMG logos, from the seats to the floor mats to the startup screen. Piano Black trim elements and ultra-premium materials set the tone - this is a cockpit that means business but pampers like a penthouse suite. For the first time ever, the G-Class gets Mercedes’ MBUX infotainment system, marking a major leap forward in tech. It brings voice control, navigation, digital displays and intuitive control logic - all seamlessly integrated into the retro-modern dashboard. Owning the all-new Mercedes-AMG G 63 doesn’t come cheap nor should it. You're buying heritage, performance, presence, and a whole lot of thunder: R4,415,916 - VAT included, but the street cred? That’s priceless.
