THE BRABUS-TUNED MERCEDES-AMG E53 IS PURE PERFEKTION!
When Mercedes-AMG crafted the E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+, they created a supremely capable plug-in powerhouse. But when BRABUS gets involved? Well, things go from fast to ferocious. Meet the electrified AMG that now wears a suit cut by hooligans - sharper, meaner, and oozing exclusivity from every exposed carbon fibre thread. Thanks to the BRABUS PowerXtra B53-700 performance upgrade, the E 53 HYBRID’s system output now surges to a monstrous 515 kW and a pavement-warping 850 Nm of torque. The result? A 0 - 100 km/h sprint in just 3.6 seconds - not bad for a hybrid executive bruiser tipping the scales at 2.3 tons. Top speed? Electronically reined in at 280 km/h, just in case you were planning a lunch break on the Autobahn. This upgrade comes courtesy of a plug-and-play control unit that reprograms the combustion side of the powertrain. The 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six goes from a stock 330 kW to 395 kW, with torque climbing from 560 to 660 Nm. It works in harmony with the factory-fit 120 kW / 480 Nm electric motor, fed by a 28.6 kWh battery. BRABUS also recommends lubricating this beast with high-performance MOTUL oil - because when you’re turning volts and boost into velocity, quality matters. They also make some rad socks, which I happen to be wearing today. Aesthetic aggression? Oh, they’ve nailed it. The exposed carbon body kit is pure theatre - matte or high-gloss, your choice. Up front, a three-piece BRABUS front spoiler improves high-speed stability, while bespoke carbon inserts around the intakes and grille dial up the menace.
Down the flanks, carbon fender attachments keep things razor-sharp, and at the rear, a BRABUS diffuser with quad 90mm titanium/carbon tailpipes makes sure you're seen and heard. Sedan variants also gain a carbon rear spoiler for a healthy dose of extra downforce - and drama. To fill those widened arches, BRABUS fits its signature 21-inch “PLATINUM EDITION” forged wheels, offered in five head-turning designs. The press cars? The sedan rocks Monoblock Zs, while the wagon flexes with Monoblock Ms, both running 265/35 ZR21 (front) and 305/30 ZR21 (rear) rubber from Continental or Hankook. Want stance and precision? BRABUS height-adjustable sport springs allow for a tailored drop of 15 to 30 mm. The theatre continues on the interior. Inside, it's all about bespoke opulence. Choose from a dizzying array of leather hues, quilting patterns, and stitching options - all crafted to microscopic tolerances. BRABUS stainless-steel scuff plates glow either in white or in sync with the 64-colour ambient lighting. Carbon or aluminium pedal pads, velour floor mats with black nubuck trim, and silver piping? All there. All BRABUS. The best bit about this rather comprehensive upgrade package is that it’s available for the sleek sedan or the stealthy wagon, making this electrified AMG something altogether more exclusive once BRABUS gets its hands on it.
