THIS MERCEDES C63 AMG EXHAUST SOUNDS LIKE A SUPERCAR

Alex from LegitStreetCars made his C63 AMG sound like a supercar. Here, he explains how and why they built the exhaust this way, and then take on a McLaren 720S, Porsche GT3 RS and 2020 Lexus LC500 in a rev battle.

There is a science to building a killer exhaust, just ask the professionals. As you probably know, if done correctly, the exhaust increases performance and enhances the soundtrack to the car. This is why Alex from LegitStreetCars went to his pals at Fluid MotorUnion to create a system for his cabbie.

These guys explain the science, why they choose to do it the way they do and show us the build as it progresses.

The Mercedes C63 AMG has arguably the best naturally aspirated V8 of all the AMG motors, hand-built with DOHC and VVT, that allows it to rev like a beast from hell. That's why Alex feels it deserves a $10 000 exhaust system.

Once done, and to illustrate the sheer glory of the new exhaust, he sends it to the dyno to find out what power figures it's pushing out, and then pits the C63 up against three supercars in a rev battle.: A McLaren 720S, Porsche GT3 RS and a 2020 Lexus LC500, all with modified exhausts too.
