VIDEO: THE ALL ELECTRIC OFF-ROAD BEAST: BOLLINGER B1!

Bollinger Motors is an all-new start-up automaker and they have revealed their first vehicle ever: the all-electric B1 Sports Utility Truck! The car was revealed at an event in New York City and the B1 is an innovative pickup truck powered by electric power to work hard and play hard off road and on paper the B1's numbers are impressive. 

The B1 features a rugged chassis and drivetrain, wrapped in a lightweight aluminium body, and has 15.5 inches of ground clearance for navigating through rough terrain. The battery packs and the drivetrain are all low and between the chassis rails, which makes for a low centre of gravity while freeing up space for cargo capacity.

The wheels power come from a dual-motor powertrain, with the front and rear motors capable of generating 472 lb-ft of torque and delivering up to 360 hp to the drivetrain.

The entire Bollinger B1 weighs about 3,900 pounds and has a towing 6,100 lb capacity, but when empty, the truck can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and can hit 127 miles per hour.

Owners will have two battery options one of 60 kWh or one of 100 kWh and the truck will be capable of a range – per charge – of either 120 miles or 200 miles. The charge time will take between 7 hours and 12 hours, respectively.
