WITH THE A90 SUPRA ON IT'S WAY OUT, TGR RELEASES PARTIALLY UPGRADED 3.0 -LITRE AND AND SUPER HOT FINAL EDITION

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing recently announced a partially upgraded model of the 3.0-litre Supra along with a special Final Edition Supra that will be released globally in a limited run of just 300 units. The latest partially upgraded Supra aims to deliver a more integrated driving experience and it features improved braking performance for safety and security, an increased-rigidity body, suspension, and chassis, optimized tuning, and enhanced aerodynamic performance. The limited Final Edition boasts loads of upgraded bits like increased power, uprated brakes, improved rigidity, and a KW suspension system and high-grip tyres. For the partially upgraded 3.0-litre Supra specifically, changes include a new chassis setting, optimised active differential control, larger Brembo brakes, revised shocks, a new front stabilizer, reinforced aluminium brackets for the front and rear stabilizers, uprated control arm bushes, strengthened rear subframe mounts, a strengthened underfloor brace structure, and improved electric power steering control. Camber angles have been revised, and matte black wheels were added, as were a carbon fibre ducktail spoiler, front wheel arch flaps and higher front tyre spats. Inside, the driver's seat wears Alcantara and features GR embroidery and a ring and the stitching on the shift knob for the 6-speed manual - seatbelts are red.

For the Final Edition, loads of work has been done. 300 lucky owners will have what is likely the best A90 Supra ever built. Toyota Gazoo Racing has dialled the GR Supra up to 11, it features a revamped intake air path and a new low-back-pressure catalyst to cut pressure loss, while optimised tuning hikes power from 285 kW to a healthy 320 kW, with torque climbing from 500 Nm to 570 Nm. A baffle plate has been added to the oil pan, for more even oil distribution during high-g cornering and enhanced cooling includes a beefed-up radiator fan, a sub-radiator, and larger cooling fins on the differential gear cover. The Active differential control has been fine-tuned to minimize understeer, enhancing the car’s already sharp handling. An Akrapovič titanium exhaust is an awesome finishing touch. Borrowing technology from the GR Supra GT4 racecar, the KW adjustable dampers now feature 16 rebound and 12 compression settings, while front and rear stabilizers have been reinforced, bushings upgraded bushings and pillow ball joints, and a GT4-spec rear subframe mount. Structural rigidity receives a boost from additional bracing in key areas, including the front cowl, underfloor, and rear luggage crossbar. Electric power steering has been recalibrated and camber angles increased. Lightweight 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels complete the package. Aerodynamics were fine-tuned by Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe, with extensive wind tunnel testing shaping the carbon fibre front spoiler, canards, and swan-neck rear wing. A carbon fibre hood duct with a removable inner panel provides additional cooling when needed. Stopping power comes from 19-inch Brembo calipers with high-friction pads, paired with drilled floating discs front and rear. Stainless steel mesh brake hoses reduce ensuring consistent stopping performance. The cockpit features a pair of red RECARO Podium CF carbon fibre bucket seats with Alcantara padding and red seat accents with matching red seatbelts. Alcantara wraps the steering wheel, shift boot, and other key touchpoints and carbon fibre scuff plates finish thing off.
