1000HP MCLAREN 720S VS TESLA MODEL S PLAID - DRAG RACE!
A lot of people still seriously underestimate the sheer acceleration of a Tesla Model S Plaid, but this time we see a drag race between the Model S Plaid and a 1000hp McLaren 720S, has the Tesla got a chance in the world or will it be completely destroyed in by the petrol supercar?
The McLaren 720S that the Tesla is up against produces 1000hp from its modified V8 twin-turbocharged engine, has a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, weighs in at just 3,100 LBS and is rear-wheel drive.
The Tesla Model S Plaid, on the other hand, makes an equivalent of 1020hp, it sends its power to all four wheels through a 1-speed automatic gearbox from its electric motor and as a result is significantly heavier than the McLaren 720S rival at 7,766 LBS
