THE BRABUS 800 MEAN GREEN MERCEDES-AMG G 63 IS THE HULK OF THE MASTERPIECE COLLECTION
When BRABUS decides to create a new ground-breaking project, the results are nothing short of bonkers, and the BRABUS 800 Mean Green takes that to the next level. The project is a departure from their usual monochrome palette, instead in a vibrant green aesthetic while packing enough power and precision to back up its greenery. Developed as part of the BRABUS Collection 2025, this Masterpiece Collection G Wagon shows off all the skills in the BARBUS arsenal. It’s very, very green, inside and out - like the Hulk. The WIDESTAR exterior concept is crafted from high-grade polyurethane and sets the tone for the G Wagon’s brutish presence. At the front, there’s an aggressive WIDESTAR apron with large air intakes and an integrated carbon spoiler. Carbon accents, including the Powerdome hood, radiator grille frame, and LED roof bar, seamlessly blend into the AMG. From the side, LED-lit WIDESTAR fenders and carbon mirror caps enhance a beefy silhouette, while the rear makes an impression with a carbon-detailed apron, fenders, and spare wheel cover. The newly engineered rear wing not only adds to the car’s aerodynamics (if that’s possible on one of these things) but also cements its status as a BRABUS Masterpiece creation. The 24-inch BRABUS Monoblock M “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels, finished in matching “Mean Green,” showcase a large disc design, sort of, if you make an effort to look through the teeny spoke spaces. BRABUS has fine-tuned the suspension, offering a perfect mix of comfort and agility, as much agility as you can give to one of the boxy things.
Inside, the BRABUS Masterpiece interior mirrors the green exterior with meticulous craftsmanship that’s also very, very green. The cabin features opal leather upholstery with millimetre-perfect quilting in a Seashell Diamond pattern that extends to the luggage compartment. Emerald green Alcantara accents provide a cool contrast, while embossed “Double-B” logos and perforated leather detailing give some extra exclusivity. Carbon fibre elements continue the overall theme, appearing on the paddle shifters, steering wheel, dashboard, and door trims. Illuminated carbon entry sills are in play, while ambient lighting and Shadow Gray accents complete the cockpit. Signature BRABUS details, including aluminium door lock pins and carbon pedals, underline the attention to detail. True to its name, the BRABUS 800 Mean Green houses the monstrous twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 that now delivers a strong 588 kW (800 hp - hence the name) and a monstrous 1,000 Nm of torque. Thanks to BRABUS turbochargers and a specially tuned 9-speed SPEEDSHIFT TCT transmission, this thing with the aerodynamics of a brick rockets from 0 - 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds. Power is distributed through an all-wheel-drive system, as per the norm for these AMGs. The soundtrack to this performance is courtesy of a BRABUS stainless steel exhaust system. Whether in “Sport” mode with its deep V8 growl or the subtle “Coming Home” mode, this exhaust system adapts to your environment. Red-illuminated sidepipe-style tailpipes positioned just in front of the rear wheels add visual drama. It’s very, very cool while being very, very green.
