IF MIAMI WAS A LAMBORGHINI URUS SE IT WOULD LOOK LIKE THIS.
Automobili Lamborghini recently revealed an amazing Ad Personam Urus SE at a private event in Miami Beach, showcasing a custom livery inspired by Miami’s vibrant culture and iconic flair. This exclusive version of Lamborghini's first-ever Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) Super SUV brings striking aesthetics and cutting-edge engineering together in perfect harmony. The Urus SE, which debuted earlier this year in Beijing, features a powerful 588 kW hybrid powertrain that sees a twin-turbocharged V8 paired with new electric tech. This Miami-themed Urus SE shows off what the clever folks at Lamborghini’s Centro Stile design centre and Ad Personam customization team are capable of. It could easily have been achieved with a vinyl wrap, but what you see here that makes the Miami Urus stand out is actually paint - the project required an additional 230 hours of intricate painting and testing over and above the standard processes to push the design barrier higher. “With this authentic piece of art, we’ve crafted the most sophisticated livery ever seen on the Urus,” said Mitja Borkert, Lamborghini’s Design Director. “The vibrant graphics reflect Miami’s lifestyle and diversity while highlighting the SUV’s iconic proportions and unmistakable design.” The Art Basel Miami Beach gathering has evolved beyond just a celebration of artistic innovation, it’s become a place to show off amazing creations and collabs between many different companies and brands. Some projects get created specifically for this event, which is why we now see automakers like Lamborghini putting in loads of effort and money to make sure they’re noticed properly.
The end result of this project is meant to look like Miami on wheels. The exterior showcases Lamborghini’s artistry, and we’re sure that an artistic type will look at this while slowly rubbing its chin while thoughtfully commenting on how if the design was any more Miami it would be a Will Smith track. We just see a cool overall look that we probably couldn’t afford even if it was vinyl. The livery combines Blu Glauco highlights with shades of grey and black, which is meant to pay homage to Miami’s colourful culture and dynamic energy. Details like the front lip in Nero Noctis with Blu Glauco accents, two-tone mirror caps in Grigio Telesto with a Blu Glauco pinstripe, and a Nero Noctis rear diffuser with matching blue accents add the perfect contrast. Some fiddling has also taken place inside the Urus, it now features a luxurious unicolour leather interior, complete with custom kick plates and a commemorative dashboard inscription reading "MIAMI" on polished carbon fibre. It’s a one-of-one, but we really think that Will Smith should try and get his hands on it, because duh. As said, the event is now a big deal, and you can tell because the unveiling was attended by Lamborghini’s top executives, including Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Federico Foschini, Design Director Mitja Borkert, Chief Technical Officer Rouven Mohr, and Lamborghini America CEO Andrea Baldi. “We’re thrilled to bring this innovative and artistic creation to Miami, a city that thrives on creativity and design,” said Winkelmann. “With Lamborghini demand at an all-time high, this special Urus SE demonstrates the limitless possibilities of our Ad Personam program.”
